An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client's independent Optical and Hearing Care group as an Operations Support and Development Officer.
Based at our Durham Head Office, this is a varied and rewarding role supporting the Operations Manager and management team. Working closely with practice teams, you'll provide operational support, help resolve day-to-day challenges, assist with implementing new initiatives and act as a link between Head Office and our practices. While you may occasionally support new team members and share best practice, the primary focus of the role is operational support and helping practices succeed.
Working alongside the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
-
Providing day-to-day operational support to practices across the business.
-
Acting as a point of contact for practice teams, assisting with operational queries
-
Supporting the implementation of company policies and procedures
-
Helping to monitor practice performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
-
Collecting and preparing operational information and reports for the management team.
-
Supporting practices with stock, administration and operational processes where required.
-
Building strong working relationships with colleagues across all practice locations.
-
Providing guidance and support to practice teams during periods of change or business development.
-
Supporting projects and continuous improvement initiatives led by the Operations Manager.
We're looking for a motivated, organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys helping others and wants to develop a career within operations.
-
Previous experience as a Senior Optical Assistant or experienced Optical Assistant.
-
Strong understanding of optical practice operations and patient journeys.
-
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
-
Confident supporting colleagues and working collaboratively with different teams.
-
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
-
Positive, proactive and solution-focused approach.
-
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider support team.
-
The opportunity to join a respected independent Optical and Hearing Care provider.
-
A varied and rewarding role working closely with the Operations Manager.
-
A friendly, supportive and collaborative management team.
-
Ongoing training and career development opportunities.
-
Competitive salary and benefits package.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Optical Assistant who is ready for the next stage of their career. If you're looking for a role that offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a real difference across multiple practices, we'd like to hear from you.
