Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, reliable Locum Dispensing Optician to provide temporary cover at an independent optical practice on the dates above.

The successful candidate will be confident working in an independent practice environment, providing high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out dispensing duties, advising patients on suitable frames, lenses and optical products.

  • Provide professional advice and ensure patients receive the best possible dispensing service.

  • Support the wider practice team and work effectively alongside the optometrist and other staff members.

  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the practice as required.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure a professional standard of service throughout.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified and GOC-registered Dispensing Optician.

  • Previous experience working within an independent optical practice.

  • Up-to-date experience using the Optix practice management system.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Able to work independently and integrate quickly into an existing team.
