Business Development Coordinator - Birmingham

The city is linked by major motorways such as the M6, M5, and M42, and is served by Birmingham Airport for both domestic and international travel. An extensive network of buses, trams, and local trains ensures easy access throughout the city and surrounding areas.

The purpose of the role is to drive strategic engagement and secure contracts with NHS Trusts under the Workforce Alliance Framework by promoting our client's comprehensive mobile eye care services.

You will serve as the primary point of contact between our client's organisation and NHS procurement teams, occupational health departments, and HR leads, positioning our client as the provider of choice for staff eye care services

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic outreach plan to engage NHS Trusts across the UK.

• Identify and secure new contracts by promoting our client's NHS-aligned mobile eyecare services.

• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in procurement, occupational health, and HR teams within NHS Trusts.

• Conduct meetings (in person or virtual), presentations, and tailored proposals that align with each Trust’s specific needs.

• Ensure compliance with NHS Workforce Alliance tender terms and documentation.

• Track and report on pipeline progress, outreach activity, and contract performance.

• Collaborate with internal teams (clinical, operations, marketing) to deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in NHS sales, tendering, or business development, ideally within healthcare or eyecare services.

• Strong understanding of NHS structures, procurement processes, and framework agreements (including CCS or Workforce Alliance frameworks).

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.

• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and data-driven lead tracking.
