Dispensing Optician - Bath

Bath is a historic city in southwest England, known for its stunning Georgian architecture, ancient Roman baths, and natural hot springs. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a blend of rich history, culture, and scenic beauty, making it a popular tourist destination.

Bath has excellent transport links, making it easily accessible. The city is well-connected by rail, with frequent trains to London Paddington (around 1.5 hours) and Bristol (15 minutes). The M4 motorway provides road access to London and South Wales, while the A36 links to the South Coast. Regular bus services operate within the city and to nearby areas, and Bristol Airport, about 20 miles away, offers domestic and international flights.

We are seeking a qualified and GOC-registered Dispensing Optician to join our client’s friendly and supportive team. If you're passionate about providing excellent patient care, they want you to help them deliver the highest standards of service to the community.

As a Dispensing Optician, you will play an integral role in ensuring all patients receive the best possible care and experience.

  • Dispense and fit spectacles to patients according to their prescriptions

  • Provide expert advice to patients on frame and lens options to suit their needs, lifestyle, and budget

  • Assist in managing and maintaining the optical equipment and ensuring the highest levels of clinical care

  • Ensure that all patient information and records are maintained accurately and confidentially

  • Collaborate with a close-knit team to create an excellent customer-focused environment

  • Provide pre-screening services to patients

  • Offer professional guidance on eye care and products, ensuring patients understand their choices

  • Stay up to date with the latest optical technologies and innovations

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge

  • You’ll need to be a qualified and GOC-registered Dispensing Optician

  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused attitude

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional patient care
