Contact Lens Optician - Newquay

Newquay is a lively seaside town on the north coast of Cornwall, best known for its world-class surfing beaches, dramatic cliffs, and vibrant holiday atmosphere. Newquay is well-connected by transport; it has an airport offering flights to major UK cities, and a train station providing services to Par, Plymouth, and London. The town is also accessible by road via the A392, linking to the A30 for travel throughout Cornwall and to the rest of the South West.

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Contact Lens Optician to join their team. In this role, you will provide expert contact lens care, assess customer needs to determine the best lens types, and offer ongoing support with lens care and fittings.

  • Complete contact lens fittings and provide comprehensive aftercare support.

  • Effectively manage your clinics to ensure a smooth workflow and high efficiency.

  • Dispense optical solutions to a diverse clientele, including children and those with complex prescriptions.

  • Coach and develop practice staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

  • Deliver exceptional customer care and expert advice to ensure patient satisfaction.

  • Collaborate closely with the team to provide a seamless customer experience.

  • Build lasting relationships with colleagues, customers, and local healthcare professionals.

  • Stay updated on the latest contact lens technologies and spectacle dispensing practices to train the wider optical team.

  • Validate complex prescriptions and provide expert care for patients with specialist needs.

  • You'll need to be fully GOC registered as a qualified Contact Lens Optician.

  • A passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • A friendly and approachable attitude.

  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
