We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Dispensing Optician to join our client's friendly team at a thriving independent optical practice in Petersfield.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with dispensing and fitting spectacles in line with patients' prescriptions and individual requirements.
Advise patients on frames and lenses to suit their needs, lifestyles and budgets.
Provide friendly and professional guidance on eye care and optical products.
Support the team in delivering a welcoming and patient-focused experience.
Assist with pre-screening services as required and following appropriate training.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Help maintain optical equipment and uphold high standards of patient care.
Develop knowledge of optical products, lens technology and dispensing techniques.
Work towards the knowledge and practical skills required to qualify as a Dispensing Optician.
Take an active role in your learning and development, making the most of training and support opportunities.

A genuine interest in optics and a desire to develop a long-term career in the profession.
A willingness to undertake the training required to become a qualified Dispensing Optician, if not already enrolled on a course.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
