We are seeking a dedicated and personable Optometrist to join our friendly and professional team in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will provide comprehensive eye examinations, deliver high standards of clinical care, and offer tailored advice on visual health. You’ll work collaboratively with our experienced dispensing team and support staff to ensure an exceptional patient journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full sight tests in line with GOC and NHS guidelines

  • Provide expert clinical advice and recommendations

  • Fit and prescribe lenses and contact lenses

  • Offer follow-up care and referrals as necessary

  • Collaborate with optical assistants and dispensing opticians

  • Maintain accurate patient records using practice systems

  • Contribute to a caring and inclusive team environment

About You

  • GOC registered Optometrist

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent clinical knowledge and attention to detail

  • Patient-focused, with a commitment to delivering outstanding care

  • Newly qualified or experienced optometrists are welcome to apply

Yes, you can.

You will need to be GOC registered to work for our client as an Optometrist/Optician. Still, we can start the recruitment process ahead of the registration coming through, and offers can be made upon receipt of your GOC number.
