Optometrist - Waterlooville

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Optometrist to join our client’s growing team in Waterlooville. In this role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, work with the latest optical technology, and enjoy a varied caseload. This position offers flexible hours, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available to suit your work-life balance.

Waterlooville, located in Hampshire, is a thriving town with a rich history, offering a blend of modern amenities, excellent transport links, and beautiful countryside, making it an ideal place to live and work.

Waterlooville is well-served by excellent transport links, with regular bus services connecting the town to nearby cities such as Portsmouth and Havant. The town also has easy access to the A3(M) and A27, providing convenient road connections to London, Southampton, and the wider South Coast. Additionally, the nearby Havant train station offers direct services to London and other major destinations.

  • Conduct detailed eye examinations and provide accurate diagnoses.

  • Offer personalised advice and treatment for a wide range of eye conditions.

  • Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, tailored to individual patient needs.

  • Provide ongoing care and support for patients, helping them manage their eye health.

  • Work alongside dispensing opticians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Maintain up-to-date patient records and follow all professional and regulatory standards.

  • Participate in continuous professional development and stay updated on industry advancements.

  • You’ll need to be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).

  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Newly qualified or experienced candidates are both encouraged to apply.
