Optometrist - Fareham

Fareham is a historic market town in Hampshire, known for its maritime heritage, charming Georgian architecture, and vibrant shopping and dining scene. Situated between Portsmouth and Southampton, Fareham offers a mix of history, coastal beauty, and modern amenities, making it an attractive place to visit and live.

Fareham has excellent transport links, making it easily accessible. The town is well-connected by rail, with frequent trains to London Waterloo (around 1.5 hours) and Portsmouth (15 minutes). The M27 motorway provides road access to Southampton, Portsmouth, and the wider South Coast, while the A32 links to Alton and the countryside. Regular bus services operate within the town and to nearby areas, and Southampton Airport, about 15 miles away, offers domestic and international flights.

 

We’re looking for a qualified Optometrist to join our client’s friendly and professional team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision testing

  • Detect and manage eye conditions and refer when necessary

  • Provide advice on lenses, frames, and eye health

  • Support dispensing staff to ensure smooth practice operations

  • Maintain GOC registration and professional standards

About You

  • GOC-registered Optometrist

  • Strong clinical knowledge and excellent patient communication

  • Professional, reliable, and team-focused
