Optical Assistant - Ruthin

Ruthin is a charming market town located in North Wales, known for its rich history, stunning medieval architecture, and beautiful countryside surroundings. The town is home to landmarks such as Ruthin Castle, a historic site dating back to the 13th century, and St. Peter’s Church with its striking architecture. Ruthin is well-connected by transport, with excellent road links. The town is easily accessible via the A525 road, which connects it to nearby towns such as Denbigh and Mold. Ruthin is also within a short drive of the A55, which provides access to the wider North Wales region and beyond. While the town doesn’t have a railway station, nearby stations in Mold and Wrexham offer regular services to major cities, including Chester and Liverpool. Additionally, the town is served by a local bus network for travel within Ruthin and to surrounding areas. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Optical Assistant to join our client’s team. As an integral member of the practice, you will enjoy a professional working environment that is fun, open, and supportive.   • Greet clients with a warm welcome, either in person or over the phone, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.

  • Work closely with other team members to determine the best optical solutions for clients, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of service.

  • Focus on delivering exceptional service at every step of the client journey, from the initial consultation to follow-up care.

  • Handle appointments, manage patient records, and assist with the smooth running of the practice’s daily operations.

  • Assist clients in selecting eyewear, providing expert advice on frames, lenses, and contact lenses. Ensure all products meet client needs and preferences.

  • Build strong relationships with your team members, peers, and clients to ensure a positive, cooperative work environment.

  • Assist in managing stock levels, ensuring that products are available and well-maintained.
