Optical Assistant - March

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Optical Assistant to join our client’s family-run practice. The team takes pride in building genuine relationships with patients — sometimes that means a friendly catch-up or even a cuppa!

Combining a personal approach with professional excellence, the practice is equipped with the latest technology to deliver thorough, well-paced eye examinations from start to finish. Their commitment to outstanding customer care is rooted in honesty and integrity, ensuring every recommendation is fit for purpose — never over-sold and never under-valued.

You will be working across two well-established practices in the local area.

  • Greet clients with a warm welcome, either in person or over the phone, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.

  • Work closely with other team members to determine the best optical solutions for clients, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of service.

  • Focus on delivering exceptional service at every step of the client journey, from the initial consultation to follow-up care.

  • Handle appointments, manage patient records, and assist with the smooth running of the practice’s daily operations.

  • Assist clients in selecting eyewear, providing expert advice on frames, lenses, and contact lenses. Ensure all products meet client needs and preferences.

  • Build strong relationships with your team members, peers, and clients to ensure a positive, cooperative work environment.

  • Assist in managing stock levels, ensuring that products are available and well-maintained.

  • Competitive salary

  • Weekdays only 9-5.30

  • Ongoing training and development opportunities

  • Must be willing to travel between two practices
