Optical Assistant - Blandford Forum

Blandford Forum is a historic Georgian market town in Dorset, renowned for its elegant 18th-century architecture, strong local character, and beautiful countryside setting. Rebuilt after a devastating fire in the 1730s, the town features harmonious Georgian buildings designed by the Bastard brothers, giving Blandford its unique charm. Surrounded by the rolling hills of the Dorset Downs and nestled along the River Stour, it offers a rich blend of history, heritage, and scenic beauty that attracts visitors year-round.

Blandford is well-connected and easily accessible. The town sits near the A350 and A354, offering direct road links to Poole, Dorchester, and Salisbury, while the A31 provides access to the wider South West and beyond. Regular bus services connect Blandford with nearby towns and cities, including Bournemouth and Weymouth. The nearest railway stations are in Poole and Salisbury, both offering direct services to London. Bournemouth Airport, around 20 miles away, provides a range of domestic and international flights.
