Locum Dispensing Optician - Milton Keynes

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Locum Dispensing Optician to provide cover on alternate Thursdays at a busy, well-established optical practice in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled DO looking for flexible, regular locum work in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and fit spectacles accurately and efficiently

  • Carry out dispensing consultations and provide advice on lenses, frames, and contact lenses

  • Support patients with frame selection and aftercare

  • Work closely with the clinical and optical teams to ensure excellent patient care

  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to practice protocols and regulatory standards

Requirements:

  • Qualified Dispensing Optician (GOC registered)

  • Proven experience in a dispensing optician role

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexible and reliable, able to commit to alternate Thursdays
