An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Dispensing Optician Practice Manager to join an independent practice team in Cheadle.

This role is ideal for a GOC-registered Dispensing Optician who is looking to further develop their leadership and management career within a high-quality, patient-focused environment where clinical excellence and personalised care are at the heart of everything.

The position is 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday.

As Dispensing Optician Practice Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the practice, combining advanced dispensing expertise with strong leadership, commercial awareness, and people management skills. You will play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience, maintaining outstanding clinical standards, and driving the continued growth and success of a respected independent practice.

Previous optical management experience and a recognised Dispensing Optician qualification are essential.

  • Lead, inspire, and support the practice team, including Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians, and Optical Advisors

  • Train and develop staff to maintain exceptional service standards

  • Create and manage effective rotas to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Oversee appointment flow and patient journey within the practice

  • Handle patient queries and concerns with professionalism and care

  • Manage stock control, frames, lenses, and premium product ranges

  • Ensure KPIs and business objectives are consistently achieved

  • Ensure full compliance with GOC regulations and industry standards

  • Maintain accurate and high-quality practice records

  • Oversee ordering and management of equipment and supplies

  • Support efficient and well-organised daily operations

  • Qualified and GOC-registered Dispensing Optician

  • Previous optical management experience essential

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal ability

  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive performance
