Our client is seeking a Qualified Dispensing Optician to join our friendly and professional team in the beautiful market town of Saffron Walden. You will be responsible for providing exceptional optical dispensing services, supporting both the clinical and customer-facing operations of the practice, and helping to maintain our strong reputation for quality care and personal service.

Fit, dispense, and adjust eyeglasses, frames, and lenses to a high professional standard.

Offer expert guidance to patients on lens types, coatings, frame styles, and suitability—taking into account lifestyle, budget, and clinical needs.

Work closely with optometrists and the clinical team to interpret prescriptions accurately and ensure optimal visual outcomes.

Deliver excellent customer service: greet patients, understand their needs, explain options clearly, follow up on enquiries, and ensure a consistently positive experience.

Keep up to date with the latest advancements in optical technology, lens design, and eyewear trends; assist with staff training or mentoring where appropriate.

Fully qualified Dispensing Optician (FBDO) or equivalent recognised qualification.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.

A passion for delivering outstanding patient care and attention to detail in every aspect of dispensing.
